About Me

Eden Fekadu, MD

I'm Eden Fekadu, MD — a physician‑trained Remote Medical Assistant who helps busy healthcare providers reduce their administrative workload so they can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

I earned my MD from Jimma University, one of Ethiopia's leading medical schools, where I received broad clinical training in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and psychiatry. This foundation gave me a deep understanding of clinical workflows, medical documentation, and the day‑to‑day challenges physicians face.

During my medical training, I saw how administrative work often takes physicians away from what matters most: patient care. I realized I could continue making a meaningful impact by supporting healthcare providers remotely, which led me to transition into a career as a Remote Medical Assistant. Today, I help practices streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and give providers more time to focus on their patients.

My medical background allows me to quickly understand clinical terminology, documentation requirements, and healthcare workflows, enabling me to integrate into your practice with minimal training. My goal is to help your practice run more efficiently while giving you valuable time back.

I believe every hour a physician spends on paperwork is an hour that could be spent caring for patients or enjoying time with family. My mission is to help you reclaim that time through reliable, detail‑oriented, and medically informed remote support.

FAQ

As a physician myself, patient confidentiality isn't just a policy to me — it's second nature. I follow HIPAA‑conscious practices in every part of my workflow: no PHI is stored locally, all communication happens through secure, encrypted tools, and access is limited strictly to what's needed to complete the task at hand.

Yes. I structure my working hours around EST so there's real overlap with your practice day. You'll get consistent, predictable availability — not something that feels delayed or disconnected because of time zones.

That's exactly why I offer an hourly trial period with no long‑term contract required. You can test the fit on a small task before deciding whether to expand the support.

Not at all. Most physicians I work with don't start with a fully mapped‑out plan — we figure it out together during a short discovery call, starting with one or two tasks that are taking up your time right now, and building from there.

My MD and hands‑on experience — including assisting a cardiologist with medical documentation and supporting a US‑based physician's administrative workflow — mean I understand clinical context most non‑clinical assistants simply don't have. That said, I maintain clear clinical boundaries: I support documentation and workflow, I don't diagnose or make clinical decisions.

I'm already experienced across a wide range of systems: Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Practice Better, SimplePractice, CoverMyMeds, Office Ally, IntakeQ, and mental health platforms like TherapyNotes, Kareo (Tebra), and Practice Fusion. If your system isn't one I've used, I pick up new platforms quickly given my clinical background.

I can typically begin within a week of our discovery call — there's no lengthy onboarding process. We'll do a short setup conversation to align on your workflow, then start with a small, well‑defined task so you can see results quickly.

I offer a few different support packages based on how much time and support your practice needs — from a starting trial period to ongoing monthly plans. During our discovery call, we can go over which option fits best for you.
